Welcome everyone!
I have spent many hours in bringing this website up to date, redesigning the appearance and look of the entire website (along with making it compliant with privacy, disclaimer, and legal laws in the US and UK), added a 200-question quiz section (which to be honest, some of those answers to the questions could be readjusted), and added an “updates” page where you can see the latest updates to the page.
I hope you feel welcome! With Bogley.com going under and CanyonCollective no longer being maintained (sad story of why), and RopeWiki is more of a beta place – I thought it would be fun to bring back canyoneering to Utah. Sure, there is backcountrypost.com but the canyoneering section is severely lacking. I get it though – it’s a hiking/backpacking website (not so much canyoneering). But this site is specifically all things canyoneering!
Especially for beginners in the American Southwest. Class C canyoneering is a different beast and while skills overlap for sure – flowing water adds a whole new level to the sport. You have to level up your game if you are going into Class C. So I address that a little, but this site isn’t going to teach skills about Class C.
IF you guys have any questions, feature enhancements, please feel free to reply here or send me an email – whatevs.
Thanks for lurking and hope you can post!
